The exhibition shows never-seen before works of Pilar Zeta and Andres Monnier. Antipodes are points that are in opposite sides of a sphere. In this exhibition, two contrasting minds and aesthetic universes are explored; two bodies of work, linked by one common element: rock. In nature, stones can be found in many formats, from delicate textures to a raw and brutalist surface. Just as the variance between the Argentinian artist Pilar Zeta and the Mexican sculptor Andrés Monnier. Antipodes evokes a nostalgic feeling of an ancient synergy between humans and rocks; history and archeology are part of this visual research as well as an interrogation of the perception of a natural material and its multiple sculptural shaping. All the shown pieces have been commissioned and created for this special event by PHILIA x HOK.
